  28. MUI is a GUI, (Graphic User Interface) Like other Amiga GUI's.  Program's use
  29. MUI so they have a Easyer time making the GUI in there program, saving time,
  30. and making there own software SMALLER.  It has nothen to do with AmigaOS which
  31. is using it's own GUI.

  33. Some people COMPLAIN that MUI's GUI is SLOW, and makes programs that are using
  34. it CRASH left and right, UNSTABLE as HELL and just plain SLOW!  Well that
  35. could be True if you didn't Install MUI with the INSTALLER, Or your Amiga only
  36. has a SLOW 68000 processor, if you only have a couple Megs of RAM.  I bet some
  37. of these MUI Bitchers havn't tryed MUI 3.0 or higher!  Or they just have
  38. nothen better to bitch about it all the time.

  40. I have been using MUI on my A1200 030/50Mzh 10 Meg ram  with around 450 megs
  41. of HD Space, and MUI isn't SLOW!  MUI DOesn't CRASH.  MUI had some Minor
  42. problems with FORMS in AMosiac and it would crash a lot from that,but with MUI
  43. 3.2 thats no longer the case.  Other MUI programs I use  never Crash,
  44. In fact I've forgoten the LAST time my Amiga has crashed, It's it's on for
  45. hours with Multiable programs running at once, Including Multable MUI GUI
  46. programs, like AmIRC, AmFTP, Amosiac, all running at ONCE, all using MUI, and
  47. NOT Crashing and not SLOW, while I have other programs running like THOR. So
  48. I just don't see the problem.

  50. I have No Idea what Motif is?  Is it a GUI? AMosiac requires MUI because's
  51. thats the GUI software it's using, that's all.
  52. MUI is a TOOL, and it is USED to Customize the LOOK and feel of Programs using
  53. MUI for the GUI!
  54. That's things like basically everything you see when you run the program. The
  55. Windows, the Buttons, the gagets, the Colors,. etc.  Unlike the other GUI's,
  56. MUI is Much for Configurable.  That being the case it's BIGGER then other
  57. GUI's and yes NOT AS FAST, but you can't have it both ways.  Like any other
  58. program, the Larger and better it gets, the Slower it'll run and the faster
  59. Processor you may or may not Need.

  61. Sometimes I wish other programs that didn't used MUI WOULD. I know I'll get
  62. Raged on saying this but Sometimes I wished THOR used MUI, just so when a
  63. windowed Opened I could just click on the winndow Gaget and it'd be Snapshot
  64. right there in Place everytime it poped up, it's so EASY to do!  It's easyer
  65. then THOR's way of doing it now I think.
